Anne enjoys the company of animals who add an incalculable amount of pleasure, love and mystery to her life. She greatly enjoys sailing but tends to feel seasick rather too much, which she has frequently maintained is a  metaphor for her life.

Her other love is her mowing machine.

Anne Smith Burton was born in Lexington, Kentucky in the last century. Currently visiting Northampton, Mass, her home is in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The important people in her life are intelligent, amusing and interesting.

Her first book, Canary Chronicles; The Road to Maura has been gaining a loyal and loving audience. Writing as Kyle Anne Burton,  Canary Chronicles; The Dance Continues is her second book, and is out now.

Last year, Anne and "Team Flohr"  walked the country roads training for the Washington Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.  They completed the 40 miles in two days in May with 3,200 other women and men who together raised 7.4 million dollars for the fight against beast cancer.  Click the Washington Walk link to see her walker's diary.
